Where do I start? I just started going to this place and I love it! Out of all the bars in Salem, this is the only place where the bar owner knows what the hell he is doing! Good food, good drinks, lotto, good service.
Drinks: A couple places downtown serve great craft drinks, but if your going for non craft and LEGIT drinks, this is the place! The bartenders here truly do the Lords work! Best bartenders in town!
Food: It's all good! The sliders, mac, burgers, soups, wraps are some of my fav. I would stay away from the Mexican food, it's far from Mexican.....but I guess with a couple drinks in you....ehhh....¡Salud Putas!
Service: These Mo-Fo's are the BEST! So I had Amanda (I hope I got her name right, she wears some kick A$$ white Adidas sometimes)as my very first server here, holy mutha she is next level customer service! She is super sweet and smiling, even when they are slammed busy. She is attentive, and knows her shit! She is Gold for any employer!
Since then I have had, Zoey,Tony, Tyler, Niki (aka Lucy), they are ALL flippin amazing! How is it even possible that you all work at the same bar?! Lucky customers! Niki is VERY real and funny as hell, and an amazing bartender!
I have been there during football games (sadly!), where it is so loud that I want shove the "loud mouths" watching the games faces into the back fryer.....just to have them STFU! Meanwhile the staff is now having to yell over the tv speakers while they try to take your drink order. God bless each and everyone of them that has to work during the football games, yet they smile and bust their butts for their tables. Off topic: Why are the most hardcore l/ Annoying AF UofO and OSU football fans the only ones who never seen the inside of any college? Anyhoo, sorry had a little PTSD from the last time I was there during a football game.
The crowd: From six figure incomes to something you would see on the movie "The Hills Have Eyes". So basically a melting pot of Salem's finest.
The owner: I met him once and he cracked me up, PR/HR nightmare, but SUPER nice and Funny as hell, AND on the simple fact that he hired Amanda, Zoey, Tony, Tyler, Niki ...... the man deserves a Nobel Peace Prize!
So to sum it all up, the food, and service is 5 stars! -

Great, fresh food prepared to order. Very clean and welcoming neighborhood tavern. Staff is well groomed and attentive.

The food is good and the ladies behind the bar are always polite and helpful- the owner, that's another story. Last time we were in for lunch Aaron was loud and foul, he lost my business after stating, "I would finger bang his wife". Our waitress could see how disgusted we were and apologized multiple times. The owner is gross.. and worth looking into further. Never have I been more disgusted.

I like the place. Crowd is laid back, bartenders are cool, burger was great. No complaints. Nice local place I frequent from time to time. Seen a few good bands and one really bad one. Get what you pay for, no cover!

I went to this bar to watch my beloved Kansas City Chiefs play. I quickly saw how busy the bar was at 10 AM- 1pm (the Chiefs typically play at 10 am PST) South liberty has a great viewing area and great acoustics
My tradition upon trying a new bar to watch sports is to 1) order the wings 2) try the house nachos. The wings had a decent buffalo sauce that wasn't overwhelming hot but had enough kick to it as well as adequate meat. The nachos were great, the cheese had a great texture along with the right amount of meat and didn't get soggy.
The star of the show was the server/bartender, Tonya. She obviously had command of the whole bar, making sure that everyone was taken care of. I typically zone out during important football games but Tonya DID NOT zone out on me. Tonya was very attentive, she passed my "water test." To me, the test of a truly excellent bar tender/server is how good they keep up on your water glass. Mine was almost always full! It goes without saying that my beer orders and food orders were filled promptly, but so was my water. To me this stood out because of how crazy this place appears to get on NFL game days. Even better, she was very affable and gave me my space but was on top of everything I needed while taking care of others.
The service on NFL game day was a real plus. It's amazing how much one person who knows their customers and cares about people can do!
